In 2008, 2009, 2010-2011 I saw a surge of a new world. I saw the human connection come back into the
advertising/connections of business because people were just feed up with
getting a press this number and key in this number when needing help with a
problem or product so what happened?
People though numbers of followers was what it was all about but in fact
it was the human connection. Now when
you stop connecting you go back 10 steps.
When you start uploading tweets or FB updates for a later time to drop,
then you just went back 20 steps. Here
is the best of it, connect live, solve problems live, use common sense and this
Social for your business or just for fun will be just that!! It will give you everything you need but if
you try to figure out how to take the human connection out of it you lose, just
as they did in the past. Money has
always driven your life and if you can live on less and make the connections,
you will survive all the turmoil’s of this world.
"You know what...Maude." I was just looking up Maude, the TV show, in order to look for someone that I could to relate to in this day in age. Maude mapped the way to the way I see life.
ReplyDeleteYour last statement in this post rings true to me. Each day I wake up I think about this exact statement and what it means to me and to others. All my life I have just been getting by with shelter, food to eat and good friends. I really do believe...like you do...that this is all that matters!
Everyone I know that make money matter too much never find the time of day to sit, relax and make "connections". I have decided in these last few years to let go of those who have to schedule me in at a certain time, on a certain day, to have specific conversations, with a specific place in mind, wearing specific clothes, being around specific people and never sharing a "real" conversation or just sitting and enjoying a bouquet of flowers or a blue sky. The "friends" that I will let go of won't notice I'm gone because what we had was even less than "superficial". These "fair weather" friends never made a "connection" with me.
