It’s easy to see the outside signs when your children aregrowing up but it’s hard to see the inside signs. Signs of problems that will cross their pathswhen they are grown. As a mother are therethings that are out of our control? Yes,please tell me how do we deal with our adult children when we see them dwindlingaway? As a young person I had to dealwith a lot, but in all of it, two words keep coming back to me, right orwrong. Is it as simple as that or isthere more to it. I always said that theright was God and the wrong was the devil and I still believe if we listen hespeaks to us for the good of us. Andmaybe that doesn’t always mean for the good of others, by this I mean what isgood for me may not be good for you. Circumstancesalways have to come into the scenario, but take money out of this. We aretalking relationships of life. There isa difference between complaining and explaining but the problem is when someoneis explaining you may take it as complaining because of your state of mine. If someone sees the reason you didsomething and voices it, that does not meanthey are a hater. When someone listens to someone else words we need to keep ourselvesout of the voice of another and only hear the words. Andthat my friend is the beat of my day…

2011 didn't do many posts but now it's 2012, I'm getting back into it. What was your last year like? Mine was full of yard work crocheting, helping Helen live a better life.

I've been going and helping this 93 year old and she's seen a lot of life. We go out to eat do our nails and look at the sky in my convertible. Yes I'm 62 and life is good, because I've realized that life is only good when you live it. When raising my children that was my goal but now with my children and grandchildren so far away I have to find a way to now enjoy this life I have. It's funny but I wished I had this attitude when I was raising my children. I love social media because it's an amazing thing to see what's happening all around the world and know these people have some of the same problems. Life is good so stay around positive people who love to laugh!! Don't take advantage of people, be honest and all will be yours...

As the end of 2011 is upon us, I reflect on the yearthat is about to pass. I haven’t beendoing much on social media, why I don’t know but I do know it’s been a ride.

Whathas made a difference in your life this year? People have made a difference in mine. I have 2 friends that have disconnected from me and I don’t know why butin this disconnection many more things have came into my life. I have found the blue skys and the flowers ofthis earth. Yes I’ve been looking at thebeauty of the earth this year and found lots of people who do for otherswithout anything in return. I guess in adisconnection we find wonderful connections and maybe this is what my friendsfound. Life is short and we should liveeach day as if it is the last. A fewdays ago a person who came into my life this year call to say she had put mesome treats aside and wished me happy holidays. This was a kind and thoughtful person because she was thinking ofsomeone else. Thank you Diva for yourkindness. If we all walk through our daywith kindness for others we will be blessed to walk this day. So tomorrow is still 2011 and I will enjoythat day.

Today as I set here thinking of the past and the world, Irealized something very important.

In my day it was Dr Spock telling people how to raise theirchildren, but I think that was a view of just one person there. Raising your children is the hardest job andthen the world tells you how you’re doing it wrong. All they need is Love and youto be there to provide a home, food and direction for them. In our daily liveswe adults deal with life situations and sometimes we deal with them correct andsometimes we don’t. Most of us do whatwe can and what our hearts tells us. Falling in Love is easy and falling out of love should be hard. We wonder through life and hope we are takingthe right steps in life but only till we get to the other side of life do weknow if we did it right. Let yourchildren be children because believe me being an adult is hard. What you do effects your partner and if thatpartner is in it for the long haul, then you make it and if you’re not really committedyou don’t. We as a world have givenadults permission to blame their short comings on their parents and the truthis we adults need to hold ourselves responsible for how we live our adultlife. There are no great parents orgrandparents except the ones that our still there for you when you need them.

I’ve heard adults say “my parents” pulling from theirchildhood to correct their children and the truth is times have changed andwhat your parents did is not what you should do. Grow with the times but don’t think becauseyou take your child to everything in the world to give them great memories isthe right thing. Sometimes ask yourchild what they want to do on any given day and you just might find they wantto just continue playing with the toy of the day.

In 2008, 2009, 2010-2011 I saw a surge of a new world. I saw the human connection come back into theadvertising/connections of business because people were just feed up withgetting a press this number and key in this number when needing help with aproblem or product so what happened? People though numbers of followers was what it was all about but in factit was the human connection. Now whenyou stop connecting you go back 10 steps. When you start uploading tweets or FB updates for a later time to drop,then you just went back 20 steps. Hereis the best of it, connect live, solve problems live, use common sense and thisSocial for your business or just for fun will be just that!! It will give you everything you need but ifyou try to figure out how to take the human connection out of it you lose, justas they did in the past. Money hasalways driven your life and if you can live on less and make the connections,you will survive all the turmoil’s of this world.

Part time Job

Over the last several years I've applied for many part time jobs to keep me going. I started out with my resume with all my qualifications, after a while I realized I was too qualified for many of the jobs. Then I started redoing for each place I applied too. I couldn't understand "other than my age" (in my day companies wanted people to stay a long time), why I wasn't getting any of the jobs. It was so disheartening to hear that companies were looking at if you were employed or not. No wonder our unemployment has not gone down!
And that's the beat of my Day.

Are we all addicted?

A person who says, I have no addiction is the person with the most. We hid are addictions and only when someone points them out do we admit to having any. If we have a hundred to spend on an addiction we will always have it unless we only spend a fifty on it. This is not a drug addiction I'm talking about this is an addiction to food, shopping, gambling and even the drug addiction. Because if you can sit a limit and stop at that you have beat it!!! Blaming others for you addiction is not taking responsible for your own actions. I alone am responsible for my actions... What are your thoughts?

I am addiction to love, life and laughter. And no sir I'm not addicted to smoking, I choose to do it, but if not an appropriate time to do it, I don't do it.

Empty nest

Grand kids were over for the past two days, It was wonderful. I watched the mind of children at play and missed the times when my children were young. They went home today and the house is empty. The sounds of children are not around. I wished my grandchildren live in town so I could go get them for a swim and take them out for a special lunch, but that is not my life so I sit here and think about all the things I can put into my day to fill the empty feeling within my heart. Will I find my place and fill my days? Tomorrow is a new day and I will fill it with the chores I didn't do when they were here. Hugs everyone make the day a good day.

Paper flowers and mothers

As I sit here making my paper flowers, I think of all the years I did crafts of all kinds. Through the years I stopped making crafts. When I was young I did all kinds of crafts for my children parties at school. Yes I was supper mom but as I sit here I wonder if my children remember all the times I stayed up late to finish their favors for school, their parties etc. Being a mother is the hardest job in the world. When you’re young you do these things without any thought and when you’re old you wonder if they remember what Love you put into things to make their day. I didn’t have this as a child and it eased my heart to do it for my children. They are all grown up now and all I want for mother’s Day is just one more of the little mother’s day gifts they made for me at school and were so proud to give it to me.

I seem to have one night a week I can't sleep and tonight is it. My mind runs over lots of things and some I really can't make sense of. Life is short and I hope we learn to appreciate our days because they can end too soon. Families are all dis functional and how sad is that. Why can't we just be happy to have each other in our life? I've been on a quest for that perfect part-time job, one that is full filling in this time in my life I like to call old age. I have a modern mind in an a old body. I don't seem to fit in a lot of the jobs but I see what the people that did get the jobs do, and I wonder how they got the job.

Media is just this, I the consumer see what you put out there and yes some sell me and some don't. Some make me laugh and I wonder how you got the job when you don't show any signs of knowing what you are doing. I was ahead of my time in this arena and it's about to catch up. OK Good Housekeeping was your floors brand new? Did you really test this product? How much did you get for a good Mark?

I bought this new product and the clerk at Target said if I open it and it didn’t work well I couldn’t return it because it was then used. On the other hand Macy’s said if I didn’t like their product I could bring it back.

I bought it at Target so when I got home I Google and up popped Good Housekeeping high marks for it.

Now I have this product that I can’t take back that cost $129 plus tax because I listen to good housekeeping. Bissell Steam & Sweep I keep trying to see if maybe I was doing it wrong. Their instruction didn’t even tell you how to use it or put the pad on it. It streaked and left the floor very wet. I swept before even though it will Sweep because I live with a pig. I went over this floor so many times to get the streaks out but as you see, it kept streaking. I would give this product a ONE because it didn’t earn a 1.

I was looking for a product that would sweep and then steam the floor. I have to do this every day because I live with a man that thinks fairies clean up after him. No! we don’t live in town where you might have a chance to keep it clean. He comes in after I clean the floor with his shoes on and begins crumbing all over the counters and floor so I give up!! Is there a product out there that is a good one?

Common Sense

Media is just as simple as using common sense. When someone comments on your wall, respond. When someone like’s your status, like their’s. When someone ask a question, answer. When someone is kind, be kind back. If it doesn’t feel right, don’t do it. Now that applies to Facebook but Twitter is just like talking on the phone, by this I mean you get a response fast as if your having a conversation. It can just be a tweet to make someone feel better. A RT of some good information that you want to pass on. Being silly and laughing with your peeps. People are into Real and Social media is touching real people everyday. A connecting to people from the past and meeting people you would have never meet without it.

Business in Social Media

Business in Social Media is not selling your product, It’s selling yourself and in the process you build a friendship that sells your product when a person has a need for it.

I don’t have a staff to proofread my posts. I’m not a English whiz. I blog and to me that means putting down on paper who I am.

I have researched and absorbed the explosion of of media and in this process I’ve seen people rise to the top and not really do the work. Now I’m seeing post about of what makes for your ranking.

I watched in 2009 someone who was not a blogger and didn’t hit the ranking of Google. Once this person started tweeting a lot and going into her Google accounts, she started filling up the Google page. Then in 2010 she did less tweeting and at the end of 2010 she concentrated on Facebook and her ranking went into the tank.

What this told me was, I was on the right track with twitter. These social networks are not really for social but in this process, people meet people they would never know otherwise. I realized in all of this research, that facebook is ok for people you know but to increase your business you need Twitter too.
If you really want to make it, have a product that is “The special one” out there. If your product is everywhere then tap into The Friend Zone, everyone will buy from a friend. We all look for the familiar and that’s what Twitter has given us.

In my opinion even with the Facebook movie it will never be Twitter unless it opens up to live and that’s what they have been trying to do for the past years.

Do the test- Google yourself and see if your Facebook posts fill up the page?

How many of those like’s go to the live Google page? And how many of those like’s sells your product?

I am a one woman show, what you see is what you get. Now what I mean by this, I am your consumer so impress me?

Frustration is not the way

Frustration is the wrong way to train. I'm impatient are short with people that don't check things out before they do them. This media has a tilt that is only learned by researching the latest. This is business not personal, I really like some of the people that I have told of doing it the wrong way and others aren't the kind of people I want to be on a real friendly bases with anyway. I don't know what makes me want to help them when apparently they don't care about others. I've meet some really great people in my journey and others are just out to get what they can from you and move on to the next sucker. In this new year I need to learn to let people sink and not make it my mission to help the ones that just don't get it. I really love this but I think it's time to find the next thing because in all of this, I've seen that this area is not ready to learn the right way so here I go and on the way say hello because I'm working on me.

One warning beware of these family tree webs because big brother is the bad guys and not the good guys and I'm not talking about the government because they already know everything about me. The bad guys can get very personal information by just searching because you may think yours is locked up and in fact everyone can see it. I know this for a fact because my niece did one and thought it was locked but when I searched for myself I found real personal info about me from hers that the bad guys could use to take over my life. She deleted that account, but guess what the internet never forgets. Never put your whole life on the web, be safe and when a system wants personal info, listen to your flags if it goes up don't do it. common sense is what it's all about but if your out for me, you don't use common sense. And that's the beat of my day...

Social media is to build up others and in this process you build. Just some of the things I have seen

Posting a customer’s personal information to generate business for them by

using that person’s Name.

Posting bad pictures

Posting bad videos

Posting their ad on someone Else's wall through tagging

Not being social by reciprocating a like or comment

Not posting on Twitter or other media spots other than Facebook

Not understanding what it means to be social on social media

All they have to do, is put in the work to do it right. Remember the Internet never forgets

They keep justifying what they're doing without knowing how it really should be done.

Now if you tag more than one person in a post for a add for you, not good. In other words know how to use something before you do it. Common sense tells you that you don't do this. Now if you do this, you not only look bad, you mess with that companies Google ranking.

It takes time to make it work, so don't think you will see resultants in a matter of days "Think months". Now it doesn't eat anything but time to work it. Don't think this is the answer to all your problems because with this you need a whole marketing plan, it's only part of it. Today everyone is trying to find that one thing that sets them apart, this is the personal touch. In this area you can find what your customers are looking for and how much they are willing to pay for good service. You can find all the trends of the day and cash in on your finds.

Yes, you can join a lot of Free Social Media sites but if you're not learning every day, It will not work for you and in fact it can hurt you. I see a lot of Business in my area going to these almost free events to figure out how to make social media for their business work, but let's be real you need to hire someone that knows the ropes in order for you to succeed. One business said, I hired this person with a degree in marketing! Well I tell you that degree is not worth much in this marketing because if they are not willing to do the work, their degree will not be worth much. Social Media marketing or Friend Zone Marketing as I call it changes every day. What worked yesterday may not work tomorrow. This Marketing is from the stand point of the consumer and the consumer changes their mind with circumstances. The old saying Go with the Flo means changes and social media changes every day. Some people think social means to meet people and in reality it means networking.

Today I was talking to an old friend who saw a dark part of my life. Setting here looking back at my life made me realize why I can't go along with everyone, just to play the game. I say what I feel when it's the right thing and that doesn't always make for the right thing. What is happening in our world can only be changed by each and every one of us doing our part, in our little part of the world. I will not buy these bulbs again although they are energy Star. I will look for one that is made in the good old USA or a country that holds our values because I know I can't find everything in this country. We are a country of English and I want my produce to reflect this. If I go to another country, I don't expect them to accommodate me I should learn their language. Why do we feel that everyone should accommodate us? That is called a me world. What we do need to learn is to respect... I'm an American, I live in America and our language is English, why does my light bulbs look like this? Can you find the English on here?

I hate to bust your bubble but the New year will only bring what you make of it. I've not been posting as much lately, because I've been looking at life in general. Life in general means, what steps I need to take to accomplish what I really want. I've never been one who makes resolutions, because life in itself is a resolution to live the best you can with what you have to accomplish it with. In my day you set goals and work to accomplish that goal. The New year is a new start but it's the same as last year if you don't work to make it the best year of your life and sweetie that is a whole mind set change. One day, one thing maybe the goal and in the process you may find that really wasn't what you wanted. No Virginia the grass is not greener on the other side, the grass is the same but the eyes see it different, so in your process this year try to brighten the grass on your side and see what a difference life is.

Life after Christmas should be the same as Christmas. Although this Holiday has brought back many memories, Good ones and bad ones and I think this is life as we know it. Don't dwell on the bad ones but remember the Good ones. We can make a difference in this world by remember the things we should be thankful for. Living life is this wonder of wonderful things even in the bad times life gives us happiness, if we look for it in the simplest of things. I watched a video yesterday and the person who made it didn't know how to explain his feeling without the bad words. Would I share this video ? No! because that would put my stamp of approval on his bad language and believe me when I say If you can't get your thoughts on any given subject without the bad words, you are the problem in America today. Respect others by using good words and good things come back to you. Be safe in the coming new year don't drink, text, or take your eyes off the road and drive.

As we go through life and this holiday season remember to be kind. Be kind to the checker who checks you out at the store, remember it’s not their fault if the price is wrong or if they have delays because of the volume. It’s not their fault if the store doesn’t have the product you want. It’s not their fault if your late or your angry at the world. Don’t leave your cart next to someone’s car, would you want them to do this to you? Do good things this season and all year round in every part of your life. When I go out there with a good out look on life things seem to fit right in my world. When people are jealous of you are someone else they want to bring them down. Don’t let someone else make you day bad. Be the best you can be and things in your life will be good. I can say I have not found one person that I think is luckier than me. Life is not without fear, life is stepping outside the box.. When you step outside the box you create a new path. Success is just doing this. The path may change but with it remains the memories you have of stepping outside the box. I’m saying that even tho you don’t continue in those steps you were successful, because true Success is doing it with all it’s pitfalls. If it adds to your life, it was a successful step outside the box. Get out of your rut by trying and doing something outside the box. Who knows what step is the right step and if you don’t take these steps you won’t find the right thing for you..

I tried a Christmas flash mob, Did it work? Yes if just 2 come, it's a success and in this the next will be bigger. I love to step outside the box because when I do, I get closer to where I should be.

A time to remember

OK I sit here and watch grandma, she had two teeth taken out on Tuesday. It went very good but she sits and ponders the Holiday season. This year grandma wants a different Christmas, one of just being. Will she shop until she drops? No! she is not even thinking about buying of presents, because this year has been a year of enlightenment so she is just being. She takes time to do the type of decorating that is the unusual. How many times have we decorated to the max and only a few saw her efforts so this year she is doing the minimum and focussing on just making it a time to remember.

Isn’t it sad that we can’t be our self because it’s not politically correct? Why Is it that everything has to be politically correct where is the individuality in this. At my part-time job I was saying Happy Holidays and I was saying it to cover everyone I talked to and I had so many people to say It’s OK to say Merry Christmas because I’m not politically correct. The fact is I was not trying to be politically correct, I was just trying to greet everyone with one phrase, because no matter what holiday you celebrate the wishes for a good one was there. This world is made up of many personalities and we as human should not take offense to someone greeting you. Take the words out and just know they were wishing you well. Respect is what this world should be about, so respect the person who is saying it that they mean no harm and that’s just their personality. We are a world of me.. Take the me out and just say hello with a smile and when you see the smile , smile back. Now this is who I am… I hope you have a very Merry Christmas and make your presence be know in a good way… So let it snow with love and kindness this Holiday Season..

Today Grandma decorated her grandson tree. She put 4 candles and 4 Christmas bulbs with paper flowers made from coffee filters. 4 Pine Cones from her yard and the love she has as she touched each as she put them on the tree. She remember the different times in her life as the grandsons came along. The oldest who was the apple of her eye. The second who said it like it was and followed you to tell about his day. The third who had a personalty of someone much, much older and the fourth who smiles even tho… As you see I said the first was the apple of my eye, when you have two the heart splits in half and as they come along your heart continues to split until there was four. Four chambers in my heart hold each one of them, within the chambers are my daughters. As time goes on the tree grows just as the heart does…

I sit here on the shelf among the Christmas box filled with pine cones and Christmas balls, grandma is in my view as our eyes meet our hearts meet. I’m just a statue with the magic of the season but how would we live our life if we new someone’s looking down on you.

As grandma sits in her chair she sees the elf looking down on her in the mist of her family pictures and her Flowers from her yard and the big old Santa who sits by her shelf all through the holidays awaiting the sounds of her grandchildren running and laughing around the house. All she wants for Christmas are these sounds of the children having fun without the sadness of the world. Life has sadness but in the mist of the sadness is the laughter of little children. Little children should only know happiness without the happiness of little children where would we get our smiles. As she prepares for the Holiday season, she gathers the greens from the yard and the pine cones. You see this year Grandma is doing a green Christmas, she's not going to buy new holiday decorations like she has in the years past. If you saw her basement it’s a Christmas wonderland because each year Grandma decorates with a different theme and in this process she buys new decorations. Yesterday I heard lots of times these words Give of yourself, so as I sit here thinking about Christmas Presents and I realized the present I want to give.

Long Long ago there was this little tiny elf who traveled the house to find a spot to sit and see what the little children wanted for Christmas and as he did he found that the adults had wants too but theirs were so different than the children. As grandpa looks each Day to find where the elf was at, he saw him on the window seal. the elf has already figured out that all grandpa wants is just that his grandsons have a good life. He wanted them to accomplish all in life that they strive for. And for them to find happiness in all the times of trials and triumphs. He hopes that they learn to give of themselves because that’s the real purpose of the season. He feels the sadness when they’re not around and in this , he hopes they learn that no one is perfect but how we treat each other makes us special. It’s not all the presents of the year but the presence of our self that we give all year. The next few days the elf will travel throughout the home he’s in to find what other things grandpa and grandma want for Christmas. tomorrow he finds a spot in the family room where all can see without looking for him.

I've found that all the things in our life that we think are the one thing that will make a difference may just be the thing that doesn't. PS my husband got senior coffee from McCafe after I did and guess what it is still 53 cents so they just over charged me but I still will go and get the coffee from Conoco because it's better. and that's the beat of my Day...

Give Thanks

Give Thanks everyday because one day a year is not enough. I've found we can give thanks with a smile of kindness for one another. If we limit it to one day a year, how sad is that! I am thankful for each and every day of my life. As I go through this life I've meet lots of wonderful people and yes I've meet some that were so negative that you really didn't won't to be around them, but these people come into your life for a reason too. I think they are here to make us stronger and better people because without examples in our life, how would we become who we are suppose to be? So be thankful for every part of your life and live it the best you can.

Yes I'm already thinking about my Christmas Tree and how I will decorate this year. This year has been a time of changes and looking inside to find the things that made our family. With this I'm looking for a different kind of Christmas one filled with the new and different. I'm going to do the unusual this year, presents our going to consist of kindness and I am decorating in a natural way without all the decorations I have stored in the basement. McCafe senior coffee went up in Waterloo

I got a senior coffee Yesterday which use to be 53 cents and now it’s 95 cents. Here’s my thoughts on that, your coffee in the last several months has gone from pretty good to bad. In fact your coffee is the worst on the block, so what did you do water it down and up the price? Now, if you want a good cup of coffee here in Waterloo go to the Conoco station because you will get a better cup of coffee and it’s about 1.20 a cup. The weak senior coffee is 95 cents , I’m guessing the regular cup is more or about the same as the Conoco and Conoco is a better cup of coffee. Starbucks Waterloo needs you!!!

Not literally! It's odd that we can't see what is right in front of our eyes. As the years went on I didn't speak out to my family on some real issues because I just wanted peace in my family, but in this I made things worst. When something is wrong it is wrong and all the signs are there. When a family See's nothing wrong with things that are so wrong, then you need to step up to bat even though they are in-laws and say look in your yard and you will see some of history repeating it's self. Throughout my life I adapted to survive, but I still kept my real self inside. I love to entertain and do things for others but my husband was not that way, so over the years when I wanted to use this side of me I would give a baby shower, wedding shower or anniversary party for someone or just go home and laugh and be silly with friends and family. I love to karaoke, laugh and just act silly. When I was very young, I clowned for children's parties and in this, I got to just be silly. Children know how to be children and some of us adults don't know how to keep the child like silly in us. We become responsible people that go down this one road and think that we are not suppose to act silly. Try it and see how it makes you feel...

People say one person can’t make a difference

One person can’t if they don’t step up to the plate in their life. Go to the school boards or at least get a copy of what they are spending your money on and when you find they lay off teachers so they can buy a $400,000 dollar fence, speak up. Get involved in the smallest ways and speak up. I have never been a person who was afraid of what someone might think about me because I’ve found that the person who thinks or talks bad about you has so many things in their life that they needed someone to put down and I’ve found no one can put me down unless I let them. I really don’t care what people think of me, I care what I think of me. We have the worst Local Phone company that isn’t taking care of their Internet customers. I get dropped several times a day and guess what one day I’ll find a different company to give them my business. Yes I’ve complained but in this they have a monopoly of the area but that will chance and in the end they will lose. If you don’t take care of your customers your customers won’t take care of you… In this world of social media people are out their just trying to get you to friend them or like them but in the same world they are not returning the favor so even tho I friended you or Liked you do you really think I will buy from you? I will say it again, do unto others as you would have them do unto you… You can make a difference…Just try it and see… It’s time we stand up and let our voices be heard…

Checks and Balances

This year has been a time of looking inside to find the things that made my life. It's hard for people in this world to live their daily lives and within this we look to see how we got here. Some of it is because of our choices and others are because of the times. Why would a financial institution give you more money than your house is worth with no down payment? Why would the same institutions give credit cards to children with no jobs. Where was our government when this was happening. These things were brought about by someone not doing their jobs. Where are the checks and balances?
Checks and balances also apply to how we raise our children and what makes us good people. I tried to be the best I could but I know I fell short in a lot of areas. I missed something and I go through my days trying to find what I missed. I think sometimes that maybe if I did this, or maybe if I did that, but you know some of our checks and balances in our life are not cut and dry so we do the best we can and you know the old saying you can never go home again. You see I don't believe that because home is where your heart is and as long as you have your heart, you can make a difference if you really want too. If some post on their wall your full name or your Business, they are messing with your ranking on google because what happen’s is when someone Googles for you, their link comes up. Is this good for you? No and the person doing it is breaking rules of Facebook and Google rules. You can’t attach yourself to someone else that is a deceptive practice. We can’t post personal information without that person signing off on it. Can you get your account deleted for this? Yes you can.

Now on Twitter it won’t have your full name but it does pull up who you tweet with. This you expect because you give permission for this.

As a business you need to respect others information..

Leaves are falling

The leaves are falling and the weather is changing, am I ready for winter? No, I want Summer to last for at least 4 more months. I know I'm dreaming but if I can't dream, what do I have? Today I looked at the Christmas decorations. I always loved to decorate for Christmas but so far this year I can't think about Christmas and I guess that's the first time that has happened. I always started collecting decoration very early. Under the Tree is my bag of pine cones, soon I will be using them in something.

Life as I know it is never simple, never without someone trying to cash in on your ranking. This could apply to everyday life as well as your Business life. As a person I have certain standards I hold myself to and as a Business I do the same and it's called ethics. Do you people not get it!! If you sell me a product or service, that doesn't give you the right to use me in your sales pitch, unless I give you written permission. If you do, this is unethical and could end up with you in court paying for the use of my name... This is 2010 and people don't get it, that if you use my name to sell more of your products you can't hide this. If I google a company and they have my name in there link and I click and it doesn't go to something of mine, that means you have embedded my info in your site to pull people that have searched for my company, to yours to sell your product and I can see this... This is not Friend Zone marketing..This is unethical... and that's the beat of my Day...

My first Drug Test

Yesterday I took my first Drug test for a part-time job to supplement just like the whole world is doing. My main job I retired from had drug testing but I never had to take one. I am an old lady who takes no medications so this was a trip for me. I can't pee on the drop of a hat so I held it for a long time so I could pee in a cup. This young lady asks if I had anything in my pockets I didn’t so I said no. She took me to the bath room where she locked away my purse. The next step, she took me into this room where I had to wash my hands with water. I picked out a cup and she tagged it and handed it to me and told me I had three minutes and I couldn’t set that cup down until it was back in her hands. I ran out of that room to the bathroom next door and trying to get my cloths down with one hand was a trip... The paper wasn’t on the roll so another trip to try to get it off with one hand and clean my butt. Well she’s already at the door telling me times up so off I go, pants not zip or barely button and back into the first room where I have pee all over my hand to initial and sign some papers before she would let me wash my hands with soap and water and get my cloths back on properly. I told her you need to throw that pen away and she pointed to a little packet that she would wipe it down so I know I just touch someone else pee, OOOOOh!! Now, drug tests are for people taking drugs, as a person who doesn’t I look at this process and see the problems in it. If I’m taking drugs I’m going to lye and tell her I have nothing in my pockets and I could have pee bottles attached to my body and sweetie 3 minutes would have been more than enough time to pour from one bottle to another. So the person who is not taking drugs has a mess to deal with in the whole thing..and for a woman it’s worse… And the person who is taking drugs could walk away and continue taking drugs with no pee on their hands…

With all this paying for clicking out there, make sure you do your research on these companies. I live in a small town and I have watched as people have tried to cash in on this New Media, that I call Friend Zone Marketing. As I research by listening to the sales pitches of these companies, I can see why people jump on board. I know I have limits on what I know, but I can Google... Yes I could take Google stats and apply them to what I do but I teach you, not sell you on a ad. This small town just keeps bringing these people in and jumping on board without really doing their homework. One Day they will see.. I say things like they are and in this town it's not good to do this because they play a game and if you play their game and you don't know what your talking about they play along...as long as you play their game. What has happen to honest thinking? Questions and answers even if they reflect badly. No, here it's cover it up and pretend they are perfect.
I Google for a specific person's business and guest what was on top, same kind of business that was a paid ad. What's up with that! Name, business is what I Google for, so Google don't put an ad for another company when I want a specific!!! I as a consumer, that makes me mad, that is just the reason I don't like Bing...Don't try to make my decision for me in paid ad, it won't work... and guess what I think that's unethical too. I have to add that I do think Google is working to clean this kind of thing up so don't get me wrong, I love Google. Google sells to companies their service and these companies could be doing something wrong to get them up top even tho I Google a specific.

Home for a visit

Lot of things have been happening in my life and I needed to go home. When I go home I go into a world that I have not lived. An easy lay back world where people are new to me. I visited my kin/friends and wonder how I got so far away from my roots. so as you know I need an attitude change, did I get it? Maybe and maybe it just made me miss it more. You see when I was young I thought someday I could maybe move back and I see that some of my choices may have made that impossible. So is it true you can never go home again? My life long friend is on the right and my niece is on the left.

I remember this little girls coming into this world like it was yesterday. I was in labor for a long time and nothing was happening . The Dr broke my water and inserted a feta monitor and when I had a pain she was in distress. I laid for many hours so scared, I couldn’t do anything, I tried not to have the pain and I tried not to watch the monitor because I was so worried about my little girl. This went on for many hours and by the grace of God my body started doing it’s share of the work and this beautiful little girl was born and she was healthy. She had this attitude from birth of doing just what she wanted to and yes this was the one who had red hair and threw fits when she didn’t get her way. I didn’t spank her because this didn’t work. I just became stronger than her and didn’t give in and believe me it would have been easier to give in, but I new this would not make her a good person. So I tried all kinds of things to let her know that we don’t always get to have everything we want. Her Dad didn't think she did this until one day he took her to McDonald's. She wanted something and he said no, so she threw her food and it landed on this man. Well as you know the fit was on and her Dad carried her out with her screaming. LOL-- I love this story because after that her Dad saw what I was dealing with when I took her to the store with me. She had to stay a day longer than me so I bought her home on my birthday. In this picture she is 2 months and 3 weeks old.

Parents and Dysfunctional

If you have children that can sit and talk about any given subject without bringing in all their hang ups, you knew the secret to raising children right. How do we instill this in our children to talk and listen with their heart? My one daughter and I were having a good conversation and she said something that I as a parent had never thought about. She said as a child their was a problem in my family that she had seen another way than what was actually happening, it made me think a little that as we raise our children they do need to know the basic facts of any given situation because if they don’t know the facts they may draw a conclusion that is the wrong conclusion. When giving them the facts give them with your heart and not with all your hurts in them and know that they are going to process it with their age of understanding. In other words they are going to add their reaction to it and carry it to their adulthood. We all try to keep our children in a world of cotton candy and balloons but they are touched by the world. I’ve always tried to be the one who mended the family but through these years I have found there is no mending until each person processes their own enter hurts.
